The Company needed capital to fund significant growth opportunities including expanding into Asia, while at the same time the owners were considering wealth diversification and succession strategies. Gateshead Partners is a private equity firm that invests in small to mid-size manufacturing and distribution companies. PMCF assessed shareholder objectives, the Company’s financial needs, and strategic alternatives before advising that a private equity transaction represented the best solution. The shareholders sold a portion of their equity to generate liquidity and diversification, while retaining a significant stake in the business.
